Every event, every ride, every second counts

I think everybody's had their rest, finished up the holidays and we're starting a new season. It seems to give everyone a fresh start – they're all at zero – and there's a lot of hope in the beginning.

PBR is also the toughest sport on the world wide web

With the 2009 Built Ford Tough Series underway I thought it wise to update everyone on what you can expect in terms of online coverage of the PBR.

Is J.B. Mauney geographically jinxed?

It's been 51 days since the 2008 season came to a close with the eighth and final round of the World Finals at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.

For Guilherme Marchi, it's been 51 days in which he's been able to enjoy being the World Champion, but for J.B. Mauney it's been 51 days for the North Carolina native to dwell on how the Finals got away from him – especially after such a great start – and, more importantly, it's been 51 days for the 21-year-old to figure out what it's going to take to win his first PBR world title.

The pressure is beginning to shift

Chris Shivers has looked great so far, but if you look back on his Finals stats he has the worst stats of any world class – thrown in the category of best of all-time – bull rider. When I looked up his Finals stats this year I couldn't believe they were that bad.

This is blog No. 1

It's an honor to come to the PBR World Finals and be considered as one of the Top 45 bull riders in world. As you tell in the first round they rode 33 out of 49 so everybody can tell that 1 through 49, including the four international riders, how good the riders are.
