2009 PBR Bull Teams
- Deadline for team entries and entry fees paid at $30,000 will be Friday, January 30th, 2009.
- Team entries after January 30th will be as follows.
- Through February $40,000 / through March $45,000 / through April $50,000, etc. /ending in September at $75,000.
- Any individual that wants to compete at one single event can compete for an entry fee of $3,000. The $3,000 will go towards the World Finals purse and that team will compete for the individual event purse only. If that bull team wants to move forward and try and compete at the World Finals they will pay whatever the entry fee is in that month. Entry fees paid and bull team named to enter must be submitted two weeks prior to event.
- 3 Bulls on a team with 2 alternate bulls. Teams can submit all 5 bulls or they can submit 4 bulls
(3 / with 1 alternate) with the option to submit your 2nd alternate by July 1st, 2009. Once team is set, alternate bulls can replace bulls from the original 3 at stock contractor’s discretion. Any new bull team after July 1st must submit all five bulls (3 / with 2 alternates).
- Bull selections for teams are open and unlimited to any bulls that are ABBI registered, 4 years old and up.
- Bulls CAN NOT compete on more than one single team.
- NO trades or additional bulls are allowed to join the team once the bull team is established.
- All teams, team owners and team names must be approved by PBR Board of Directors and or PBR Administration.
- Stock Contractors will be entitled to negotiate a percentage of the winnings or a set fee with the team investors.
- All financial matters are to be determined between the team investor(s) and the stock contractor.
- Stock Contractor retains ownership in the bulls, manages team and makes all decisions regarding bulls.
- Only the primary stock contractor and flank man are allowed on the back of the chutes during the event.
- Investor owns the team rights for one year.
- PBR National sponsors are the only sponsors that are allowed to name a team with a brand name. Sponsors are only allowed to name a maximum of 1 team. All other team names must be approved by PBR Boards of Directors and or PBR administration.
- Team owners will have the opportunity to purchase special seating at each event. Owners must notify the PBR office no later than 14 days prior to the event if the wish to purchase the special seating or not.
- There will be a winners circle and photo opportunities at each event for the event team winner.
- Teams per event will vary depending on one day, two day or three day events.
- Each bull team will compete at 3 events. If bulls do not perform up to standard, they will not continue.
- The highest total score on all 3 bulls will be the event winner. Only one score from each event will be allowed from each bull. The first out for each bull on each team will be the out that counts for the competition.
- All bull teams to compete at the PBR World Finals will be chosen based upon performance and quality during the regular season.
- Every bull team that competes at the Finals will come in clean and start at zero. Bull teams that compete at the Finals will compete with the number of bulls selected. Example (1, 2, 3, etc.) The first out for each bull on each team will be the out that counts for the competition. The total score of the Bull Team outs will determine the bull team winner.
- PBR will charge a 5% administrative fee for the total of all fees paid.
- All rules may be amended as needed.
